Zotac shows off Mini-ITX H77 motherboards

TPU shot photos of two upcoming Mini-ITX Intel H77 based motherboards from Zotac. These LGA1155 mainboards are aimed at small form factor systems and HTPCs.

The first one (pictured below), appears to be the more affordable of the two. It uses a simple 4-phase VRM to power the LGA1155 CPU, which is wired to two DDR3 DIMM slots supporting dual-channel DDR3-1600 MHz memory. Its lone expansion slot is a PCI-Express 3.0 x16. Storage connectivity includes two SATA 6 Gb/s, two SATA 3 Gb/s, and an mSATA (probably 3 Gb/s). Its VRM uses cost-effective chokes, and LFPAK MOSFETs.

The more expensive-looking board of the two provides all the features of the other, while making room for an extra SATA 3 Gb/s port, higher-quality VRM that makes use of durable coils, and DriverMOSFETs (DrMOS), and DisplayPort connectivity. Other than the DisplayPort difference, both boards feature 8-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, wireless b/g/n (N 300) connection, USB 3.0, and display connectivity that includes DVI and HDMI.

GeIL EpicGear shows off first hybrid dual sensor mouse

GeIL's new EpicGear gaming brand showed off Meduza, world's first mouse with "hybrid dual sensor technology" (HDST). Pricing and availability is unknown, but the launch should occur pretty soon.

This mouse features what EpicGear is calling the world's first "HDST" and that stands for hybrid dual sensor technology. As you'll see in the pictures, on the back surface of the mouse where you usually see either a laser or optical sensor for tracking, EpicGear include both a laser sensor and an optical sensor. EpicGear says that super fast laser sensor with speeds up to 6000 DPI and the stable optical precision with jitter-free operation leads to an overall much better feel and use than traditional mice.

Samsung shows off Photoshop Touch on new tablet

Legit Reviews saw a demonstration of Adobe's Photoshop Touch app on a new pen-enabled tablet from Samsung at the Adobe MAX 2011 conference in LA.

You will see in the video that this new tablet had the form factor of the recently released Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. What is even more interesting is that this Android-powered tablet was running Adobe's newest "Touch App" - Photoshop Touch.

AMD shows off 28nm GPU

AMD showed off a next-gen 28nm GPU at an event in Taipei, Taiwan:

At Fusion 2011, AMD (NYSE:AMD) today demonstrated its next generation graphics processor, based on the cutting-edge 28 nm process technology. The demonstration was delivered by Corporate Vice President and General Manager of AMD�s Graphics Division, Matt Skynner, as part of his keynote titled, "Enabling the Best Visual Experience." Skynner demonstrated a notebook-based version of AMD�s 28 nm next-generation graphics processor delivering a smooth, high-resolution game experience while playing Bioware�s popular role-playing title, Dragon Age 2.

"AMD strives to be at the forefront of every key inflection point in graphics technology, as demonstrated by our leadership in everything from process node transitions, to adoption of the latest graphics memory," said Skynner. "Our pace-setting transition to the 28nm process node, coupled with new innovations in our underlying graphics architecture, is already generating excitement among the ODM community here in Taipei this week."

Science Fiction Shows That Died Too Soon

Sometimes, when science fiction and television meet, magic happens. The Twilight Zone, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (excluding that horrendous finale) � all great examples of science fiction being proudly represented on television. When a sci-fi show is successful, it practically redefines success. And yet they often fail. I�m not informed enough to say they fail more often than other genres, but I can say that when they do fail, it�s felt harder, due to the passion and loyalty displayed by science fiction fans. Here�s a small tribute to those sci-fi shows that died off before they could truly shine.

Samsung shows off new 3D LED TVs

Samsung developed new 3D LED TVs, pictured below are the 27" 9 Series (27TA950) and 7 Series (27TA750). These panels offer a Full HD resolution and are now available in South-Korea.

Available in two different versions with the asymmetric 9 Series (27TA950) and 7 Series (27TA750), these 27� full HD TVs comes with Samsung Ultra Clear Panel Technology, as well as Samsung TV Apps and Smart Hub with the addition of Connect Share allowing you access to media via your TV USB port.

Finally Samsung announced an immediate availability of these TVs in Korea and you should expecting something like 8.9 Million Won for the 27TA950 (Around 8000 USD or 5700�) and 8.4 Million Won for the 27TA750 (7500 USD or 5300�)
