Computer speakers connect to a computer system via a 3.5mm cable running out the rear of the devices. This cable connection is different from the RCA input used by home stereo systems. However, it is possible to convert the 3.5mm cable into an RCA connection. Doing so allows you to connect PC speakers into your home audio system, preventing you from having to purchase additional speakers.
). Plug the 3.5mm cable running out of the PC speakers into the female 3.5mm end of the cable.
). Insert the male RCA ends of the cable into the "Audio Out" ports on the back of the home stereo.
). Plug the PC speakers into a local power outlet. Unlike many home stereo speakers, the PC speakers require a power source.
). Power on the home stereo system and the PC speakers. Play the audio on the home stereo and the sound should begin to play through the connected computer speakers.
